Jon Rosen is a writer and journalist focusing on Africa and global economics. Currently reporting for Global Post from Kigali, Rwanda, Jon has freelanced from Kenya, Tanzania, Italy, and Washington, DC for outfits including the BBC, World Politics Review, and Runner's World. He is also a regluar contributor to the USA Today Money section, the author of a forthcoming book on the Maasai people of East Africa, and a former web content editor at the Boston-based NGO Pathfinder International.

A native of Amherst, Massachusetts, Jon recieved his B.A. in 2004 from Tufts University and M.A. in 2009 from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
